Christian Cory

Retired Wichita Police Department & IXI Solutions

Captain Christian Cory (ret.) recently retired after more than 26 years with the Wichita Police Department, where he served as Commander of the Crimes Against Persons Bureau. Over the course of his career, he worked in Homicide, Sex Crimes, and the Gang/Felony Assault Unit, and led the department’s Crisis Negotiation Team. He holds a B.S. in Criminology from Kansas State University and an M.A. in Forensic Psychology from the University of North Dakota.

Today, Cory is the Co-Director of Project Aletheia and a Visiting Scholar at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where he advocates nationally for ethical, effective, and science-based interview practices. He is also an Executive Fellow with the National Policing Institute and a National Institute of Justice LEADS Scholar. As a keynote speaker, workshop facilitator, and consultant, he trains and supports agencies, private sector investigators, and companies in evidence-based practices and improving investigations, interviewing practices, and evidence-based decision-making through Science-Based Interviewing.

When he’s not working, Cory enjoys time with family, travel, reading, and finding pinball machines in the wild. He’s always happy to talk interviewing, training, or research and can be reached at cory@ixi.solutions
